Seven years ago, Avram Heffner was waiting for a bus at a busy intersection in Jerusalem. A speeding bus made him leap backward to avoid getting hit. Heffner "only" suffered a blow from a pole and his glasses broke. He felt fine and did not see a doctor. "He went home, sent his glasses in to be fixed, and we forgot all about the matter," his daughter, Maya Heffner, recalls.
