IDF preparing for next Lebanon war based on 'bank' of possible targets

Civilians who allow Hezbollah to set stores of ammunition of anything else in their residences should be considered a fair target. Instead of thinking how not to harm civilians Israeli army should concentrate on how to win war even it involves killing civilians along the way. it is war not a game. if Lebanon doe snot want it, let them stop playing such games and behave like a weak business minded country it is.

Holy cow. These are mothers' children on both sides of the border. The murderers Netanyahu and Nasrallah need to stop pushing their stupid power games and realize that they're playing with families' lives. It's not worth it. This conflict simply can't last forever.

Tis may not be the appropiate article for my comments -but I hope they are noticed and taken into account. The IDF Infantry foot soldier needs to lighten up his kit , he should not have to trek/walk many miles weighted down with a huge camel like hump back. Cannot possibly arrive at his destination fresh for battle! Hopefully in a future battle he will be transported and function as a modern fighting force to be dealt with.

I hope that this lesson was learnt, next time do not stop until destroying the enemy, and if the enemy uses its own population as shields, destroy the enemywarn them and the so called international community that the IDF wont allow damage to Israels population, due to considerations to civilians used as human shields by the enemy. The civilians that have to worry the IDF are Israeli civilians, it is the duty of the international community not to allow Hezbolah to use its own civilians as shields, if they do not, it is their responsability, not the IDFs responsability. THIS HAS TO BE STATED CLEARLY so there is no doubt it is going to be implemented, The IDFs responsability is to make certain that no harm comes to Israels civilians and its infraestructure. and its duty is to destroy the enemy, so they are not able to fight again. It's a complete fabrication to say that Israel lost the 2006 war. The world is used to such overwhelming and rapid Israeli victories that a war like in 2006 is disappointing. Disappointing, but not a defeat. At the end of the war Israel was on the Litani and most of the Hezbollah units south of the river were overrun, broken up and defeated. If the war had been managed on the Israeli side by professionals and not politicians, the results would have been faster and more decisive.
