The wheels of justice grind slowly, and in any case, Olmert may yet be convicted of scrimes committed in the Holyland Affair. So there goes the Great White Hope of the center-left-camp. Toobad they have no one else of sufficient stature or experience to lead them, and we may be doomed to another 4 years of Bibi and his right-wing, fundamentalist camp.

I shudder at the thought that this wretch may return into politics. Poor we, poor Israel.

If a politician convicted of corruption is your only hope then you've got to ask yourself: does the end justify the means? What kind of message are you sending with your focus on a quick fix?
