The actress Evgenia Dodina attracted attention from the first moment she appeared on the Gesher Theater stage 22 years ago, after immigrating to Israel. Her work with the troupe, in which she was the leading female actor, accorded her unassailable status. In 2005, when she fell from the stage and broke a leg during a performance of "Medea," the play was mothballed for eight months until she recovered.
