Actress Evgenia Dodina breaks new ground in Israeli theater
The Habima actress performs in Persona, an adaptation of an Ingmar Bergman film now on stage both in Munich and Tel Aviv.
The actress Evgenia Dodina attracted attention from the first moment she appeared on the Gesher Theater stage 22 years ago, after immigrating to Israel. Her work with the troupe, in which she was the leading female actor, accorded her unassailable status. In 2005, when she fell from the stage and broke a leg during a performance of "Medea," the play was mothballed for eight months until she recovered.
