Giving up as a way of life: Lessons from Israel's school system
The school leaves education to the parents and the parents pass the responsibility on. The educator is Facebook, and the teacher is Wikipedia.
What did I learn in school? When I left, I knew not to trust anyone older and stronger than me, simply because he’s older and stronger. In the beginning, my trust was complete and absolute. It started in kindergarten, continued to first grade and lasted until the moment I left school. My trust was pure and naive. It disappeared when I left school.
