It was obvious that morning that I had to see a doctor. The pain in my ear was unbearable – actually, it was more like I was experiencing excruciating arrows and noise than just regular pain. My right ear felt completely blocked, as though I’d just got off a plane or driven up to Jerusalem. Attempts to unplug my nose and to use steam were useless.
