Israel Air Force veteran says that on Iran issue, leaders are playing with our lives

New limits, for everyone, on nuclear tech. No nuclear weapons or weapons grade fissiles. All enrichment monitored, for everyone. And enormously increased monitoring, far beyond NPT requirements. Iran might agree never to come close to a bomb, if it means that Israel gives up its bomb. And Israel will always keep the experience in its basement, so it will have a head start in any future re-nuclearization.

The problem seems to be one of "What Then". If Israel attacks, and even sets back Iran's program 3 three years - What Then? Attack again,and again? Either live Irans bomb or a winner take all war? those are the only options unless China and Russia both stop buying Irans oil,do business with Iran and stops selling the Middle East guns. Sooner or later Irans people with revolts (no onesae the over throw of the Shaw,but they did it). 18 months of no money will do it. It will force Iran to back down or attack. Either is better for Israel in the long run.

What came first? The illegal Israeli invasion of Lebanon or the resistance group Hizballah? Israelis have killed more Americans than Hizballah and I dont think Hizballah has actually ever killed an American who wasnt a Zionist first, and any Americas who are Zionist first, if they die, good.

He is not the only one saying this, The X mossad chief reported something similar, I think Israel is looking for a reason to strike iran on behalf of the US and cripple their military power to keep a balance in the area and on behalf its other spoild child saudi arabia who;s wahabism is more hostile to the shiaate iran than they are to israel.

Israel needs men and women like him in the positions of power.

Good to see that moderates are once again trying to assert themselves in Israel. Hopefully, those radicals on the opposing side will also be challenged by their moderates. We are in a global world now, where everyone has some legitimacy and peace will only be maintained by carefully spreading-out the extremes everywhere.

In this struggle israel would do better to create defense systems instead of bombing itself into stone age. To live in peace one must be alert but on the same time leave room for the peace.

I fully agree with Mr Kobi Richter, don,t be afool taking all the risks he mentions When even a simple minded person like me understands ,how about Mr Ehud Barak( or is simplicety to complicated).

had any one thought of a peaceful resolution like the mighty isreal seek real peace by asking for accepteance in the middle east . i think if they asked, arabs will accept but comming with a sword they will pay the price for it .
