Big brother: When secrecy becomes a norm in Israel, it comes with a price

Reading this article gave me hope, that one day there will be an enlightened Israeli generation, accepting the other and maybe there will be ''peace'' one day. Cheers Eva

USA iis killing American citizens with drone strikes after declaring them enemies of the state, and without due process of law..USA also a state without borders by the same reasoning. And so is France in MAli protecting French citizens. Why is writer singling out Israel for condemnation?

We must distinguish between the terms "norm""normal""normative"" norm=common or frequent=celebrating Christmas ,normal=opposite of abnormal=Christmas is not opposed to celebrating Hanukkah ......normative=refers to a morally -endorsed idea .So ,We all in this country must behave in normative way .

Is any state around the world moral by your definition. Is Israel less moral than the United States or France? Is the Israel within 1948 borders (that was attacked by its enemies) moral, but 1km beyond those lines immoral? It was a cheap shot at the settlers, painting them all with the same brush. Why is Sheik Munis more legitimate than a settlement built on non-private Ottoman lands?

Very insightful article. It makes the Mossad and the Shin Bet on par with terrorists, no different. Nothing to be proud of and certainly far from democracy. Israel cannot be considered a democracy in the ME and certainly not a shining star, they are the same as their neighbors.
