The Israel Lacrosse Association has announced tryout dates for the women's national team, which will compete at the 2013 Women's World Cup in July near Toronto.

The team's roster will be composed largely of Israeli players, along with several Jewish players from abroad, in accordance with the rules of the Federation of International Lacrosse.

Israeli lacrosse has partnered with Tri-State Lacrosse to conduct a tryout for American-based players, which will take place on January 13 in Hightstown, New Jersey.

The tryout for Israel-based players will take place on February 22 at Tel Aviv's Sportek. Players must hold residency in Israel or be born in Israel to take part.

The tournament will mark Israel's debut in the quadrennial world championship, as well as the first Israel national lacrosse team to compete in an official federation event.

The men's national team finished eighth in the 2012 European Lacrosse Championships.
