Immigrants Spark 'Renaissance of Jewish Life' in Tel Aviv

On a typical Shabbat evening, the Tel Aviv International Synagogue at 23 Frishman Street draws 300 people from all over the world.

Nina Sherman struggled to find a spiritual home when she moved to Tel Aviv from New York two years ago. The daughter of a cantor, she went "shul-hopping" for several months but said she never felt entirely welcome at any of the synagogues she visited.
