It's Israel's 'Pedestrians' Safety Day,' and You Just Got Run Over by a Bike

I'm sure the Road Safety Authority employs good people. But I’d guess they have not seen a road in a while, haven't ridden a bike and don't tread the sidewalks.

Tuesday last week was an ordinary day, typical of early fall. The sun shone, the acacia bloomed, and whoever failed to get out of the way in time from the bicycles on the sidewalk was knocked down, run over and trampled. Another normal day on the sidewalks.
