Colbert Shudders at Trump's Latest Bizarre Ivanka Comments

'Not weird at all,' Colbert joked. 'All of Trump's advisers call him 'Daddy.' Sean Spicer was actually the one who started it'

"Late Night" host Stephen Colbert returned to the air this week after a short break and didn't skip a beat in continuing to blast President Trump. On Wednesday night's show, Colbert slammed Trump's recent tax reform pitch in North Dakota and his bizarre comments about his daughter Ivanka.

Colbert ripped into Trump's delivery of the speech, by speech, "I mean ramble incoherently until they turned his mic off." He then went on to joke about the details of Trump plan which included debating whether products should be labeled, "Made in America" or "Made in the USA."

"Yeah, we should definitely pick one — and then the Electoral College can pick the other," Colbert deadpanned.

Colbert went on to call out Trump for "by far the most awkward moment — and for Trump, that's a pretty high bar — was when he brought up Ivanka."

Colbert then played the clip from the speech in which Trump recalls how Ivanka asked to come on the trip, saying, "Daddy can I come with you to North Dakota." "Not weird at all," Colbert joked. "All of Trump's advisers call him 'Daddy.' Sean Spicer was actually the one who started it."
