A Tel Aviv Regional Court yesterday acquitted two suspects accused of attempting to murder reputed underworld figure Nissim Alperon and injuring a policeman who came to arrest them. However, Amir Senkar and Eitan Garalah were convicted of conspiracy to commit a crime, carrying an unlicensed weapon and reckless endangerment on the roads. The indictment states that Senkar and Garalah, who are allegedly connected to the Abergil crime family, conspired to hit Alperon. The policeman was injured in a shootout with the men.
