Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin (Likud) will boycott the Wolf Foundation Prizes ceremony in parliament next Sunday because conductor Daniel Barenboim is getting one of the prizes. Rivlin said his unusual decision is a protest against Barenboim's "offensive provocation" at the Israel Festival two years ago in conducting a work by Richard Wagner. "I viewed that as spitting in the faces of Holocaust survivors, so I've decided not to be at Sunday's ceremony," Rivlin said.
