In the the third round of the upper tier of the interclub Premier League, Ra'anana made a clean sweep in both the men's and women's sections against Ramat Gan, when Colin and Gordon Silberstein with Zvika Hadar beat Ramat Gan's George Kaminsky, Micah Farkash and Hertzl Dunsky 17-13, and Raymond Sher with Gerald Sacks and Dennis Phillips won 23-12 against Rami Oron, Boaz Marcus and Avi Rakiya, for Ra'anana to get the overall 6-0 tally.
Similarly in the women's section, it was all Ra'anana when Helen Gordon, Denny Galland and Isobel Myers won 27-12 against Liat Atlas, Edna Zomberg and Dahlia Shneider, while Arlene Rubin, Monica Menashe and Hadassah Fisher beat Tami Kamzel, Naomi Fix and Riri Merav 23-7.
In another top-tier game, Kiryat Ono's women also came through with a 6-0 tally against Netanya, when Maya Van Creveld and Ruthie Gilor respectively won 17-13 and 19-12 against Bernice Pillemer and Sheila Malin.
With two more rounds to play Kiryat Ono leads the women's league with 14 points and Ra'anana with 12 are well ahead of their opponents.
Back in the men's league, Haifa's bowlers got the better of Savyon with a 5-1 tally, when Yossi Greenberg's trio won 19-12 against Haviv Takin, and Harry Katzs side peeled 13-all with Cecil Bransky. Ra'anana leads the league with 13 points followed by Hafia with 9, Savyon 8, and Ramat Gan 6.
In the lower tier premier division, Ramat Hasharon (Yehuda Baron) beat Kiryat Ono (Meir Eitan) 18-16, Netanya (Norman Panovka) beat Jerusalem (Tony Babot) 20-9, Savyon (Yael Bar Ner) beat Haifa (Miriam Pappenheimer) 17-13, and Ra'anana beat Ramat Hasharon 20-11.
