A quick glance at the photos taken in the last Israman, or for that matter any other recent triathlon throughout the world, reveals a fact well known to all athletes: All the competitors, without any exceptions, are white. Despite dominating the long-distance runs, Africa has yet to discover the triathlon, a sport that attracts more and more athletes every year.
Why aren't African runners cut out for triathlons?
