Hapoel Tel Aviv dominated for much of its encounter with Upper Nazareth yesterday, but in the end it had goalkeeper Shavit Elimelech to thank for a share of the points in a 0-0 draw at Bloomfield last night.

Elimelech found himself face to face with Nazareth striker Jose Duarte at 86 minutes and pulled off a stunning diving save to deny the Brazilian.

The result left Nazareth, the surprise team of the season, in third place, while Hapoel stays one spot above the relegation zone.

"A couple of months ago we would have lost a game like this," said Hapoel captain Yossi Abuksis. "We have had better games where we have left the field without a point. We can take some consolation from the fact that we got a point out of the game."

Hapoel coach Shiye Faigenbaum didn't share his captain's viewpoint. "We should have won the game; we did everything to make it happen."
