Ramle's Doron to face former club

By Arie Livnat

For the first time in nine years, Ramat Hasharon and Elitzur Ramle will arrive at the first women's Premier League game of the season against each other with a loss (Tonight, 8:10 P.M., Oranim Arena). Both clubs have lost to undefeated Bnot Hasharon. However, this is still a big game for Ramat Hasharon and Ramle, in the fight for bragging rights and the struggle at the top of the standings.

Ramle's Shay Doron will for the first time be facing the club where she grew up, before moving with her family to the United States to advance her basketball ambitions, and even played a little for the adult squad seven seasons ago.

"I'm not nervous; it is only basketball," Doron said yesterday. On the balance of power: "Ramat Hasharon is a really good team, and it will be a difficult game, with a lot of intensity."

"We are not in peak shape, but we want very much to win," Ramle coach Eli Rabi said.

The other women's Premier League games tonight: Bnei Yehuda vs. Bnot Hasharon, 7 P.M.; Maccabi Ashdod vs. Hapoel Tel Aviv, 7 P.M.; Elitzur Holon vs. Tal Kabir, 7:30 P.M.
