Four Israeli judoka will be in action today the first day of the European Judo Championship in Tampere, Finland.

The four are last year's silver medalist Yoel Razvozov, in the under 73 kg category; Gal Yekutiel, in the under 60 kg category; Zvi Shifran, in the under 66 kg class, and Sivan Mizrahi in the women's under 48 kg class.

Avisar Scheinman in the under 81 kg class, Alon Sasson in the under 90 kg category, and Alice Schlesinger in the women's under-63-kg class will go into action tomorrow.

Arik Ze'evi will take to the mat on Sunday as he attempts for a fourth title in the under 100 kg category.

Razvozov, twice the runner-up at the event, will begin his quest for gold against Viktor Bivol of Moldova with Sidney Olympic bronze medalist Vsevolods Zelonijs of Latvia a possible second-round rival.
