By Dan Even Tags: swine flu Israel newsTwo people died in Israel of the swine flu, the first deaths from the disease since the Sukkot holiday. The deaths were reported over the weekend. In one case, a 64-year old cancer patient from Zichron Ya'akov died at Rambam Medical Center after he was diagnosed with swine flu (also known as H1N1 virus).
A one-year-old infant from Bnei Berak, who has suffered from serious health problems since birth, including heart and lung problems, died at Ichilov Hospital, after being hospitalized for six weeks with swine flu symptoms.
To date, 34 people have died in Israel as a result of complications caused by the swine flu. In three of those cases, the victims had not suffered from chronic illnesses.

Vaccines for the H1N1 virus continued to arrive in Israel today from the Swiss supplier Novartis, and the British arm of GlaxoSmithKline. Mass inoculations are expected to begin next week against swine flu; the first to receive the shots will be medical staff and patients with chronic illnesses aged three and older.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry and the Pediatricians Association have reported that there has been a new rise in swine flu cases among children, following a drop during the holiday season. The rise is attributed to a return to school following Sukkot, and the numbers of sick children are expected to rise during the winter.

Don't sound like they died from swine flu to me- maybe the cure killed them. Vacines are untested and unproven - watch out! Don't be the phramaceutical industry's friar!
"MASS INOCULATIONS ARE EXPECTED TO BEGIN NEXT WEEK AGAINST SWINE FLU" Fat lot of good this is going to do to the already 34 dead people from the swine flu. In big terms the government - respectively the Ministry of Health - is responsible for the death of these people for not taking ANY PREVENTIVE MEASURES against the spreading of the disease. As the disease did not originate in Israel, preventive measures for the disease to enter the country could/should have been put up at the arrival hall at B/G Apt. where most cases of infected passengers would have been caught right upon entry into the country. What did our "smart" government do, NOTHING and NOTHING at all until this date. A BIG SHAME as the so-called 3rd World Asian countries - in the so popular Israeli vocabulary - are taking preventive measures with good results. It seems that Israel itself is the NUMBER ONE among these 3rd World countries instead.
