Netivot to inaugurate new cinematheque
The cinematheque will officially open with a 3-day film festival starting on August 23.
The new Netivot Cinematheque, which opened two months ago, will be officially inaugurated with a three-day film festival opening on August 23 in the presence of Culture Minister Limor Livnat.
The festival is being produced by the Netivot Community Centers Network and the Jerusalem Film Festival. It will screen films for both children and adults, with tickets costing only NIS 10.
There will also be other performances, including various bands that will play music from movie soundtracks, and street performances.
Films to be screened include "Good Morning Mr. Fidelman," directed by Yossi Madmoni, which was named best Israeli film at the most recent Jerusalem Film Festival; "My Beautiful Sister," directed by Marco Carmel; the documentary "The Dolphin," directed by Danny Mankin and Yonatan Nir, and the American science fiction film "Super 8," directed by J.J. Abrams and produced by Steven Spielberg.
