A 'truce' just means rearming gaza with more deadly Iranian weapons.

Hamas doesn't want a ceasefire, they want the destruction of Israel. And to achieve that goal, they 're willing to sacrifice the lives of their innocent women and children. It's ironic, that the Gazans voted for Hamas to be their leaders and to better their lives, when in fact all that Hamas is doing is helping kill their own people only for the POWER of Hamas.
