Man held for sexually assaulting sister, 3 months after release for same crime
A Netanya man who served 19 months in prison for the 2007 indecent assault of his 17-year-old sister allegedly sexually assaulted another sister, age 9, three months after his release, police said yesterday.
The suspect, 21, denies the allegations.
Several days ago, the younger sister told a teacher that her brother habitually entered her bed at night and touched her private parts. The teacher informed school officials and welfare authorities, who contacted Netanya police.
The girl was brought in for questioning, and when police judged her testimony to be credible, her brother was detained.
The suspect's mother told police she knew nothing of the alleged offenses.
Police discovered that the man's prior conviction prohibited him from approaching to the older sister, but not the 9-year-old. Yesterday the suspect's remand was extended seven days.
