A Kiryat Malakhi resident was indicted yesterday for the brutal rape, robbery and beating of a 15-year-old boy who refused to give him his bike.

According to the indictment filed in the Be'er Sheva District Court, the boy was riding his bike home from the yeshiva high school where he studies when the defendant, 27-year-old Abete Talon, stopped him and demanded that he let him ride the bike.

The boy refused, fearing Talon would steal it. Talon also asked for some money with which to buy alcohol, but the boy refused that, too.

Talon initially denied the accusations, but later confessed.

After being refused the bike, Talon allegedly dragged the boy behind a nearby synagogue while preventing his escape with a stranglehold.

Talon then ordered his victim to strip. When the boy refused, Talon forcibly stripped him and proceeded to sodomize him. The boy kept trying to escape, but Talon retained his stranglehold on the boy's neck throughout the assault.

When the boy began to cry, Talon banged his head against the ground repeatedly, while continuing the sexual assault.

Afterward, Talon threatened that if the boy told anyone, he would slit his throat. He also stole the boy's cell phone and NIS 20.

As soon as he was free, the boy jumped on his bike and pedaled away as fast as he could. Talon ran after him, but failed to catch him.

Residents of the area spotted the boy at that point and called the police, who quickly arrested Talon.
