The fifth Jewish Summer Festival will open today in Budapest and continue for 10 days. Highlights of the festival include an international cantorial concert, international klezmer celebration, dance recitals, a concert by Dudu Fisher and the premier of a Hungarian-language version of Handel's "Israel in Egypt." The festival, which will also include an Israeli film festival, Jewish book week and "Gastronomy Days," has been previewed widely in the Hungarian media.
