Israel just hates for anyone else to tell it to do anything. Israel denies having nuclear weapons. Israel has received as gifts from Germany NUCLEAR submarines armed with rockets, thus threatening all countries in the ME. And not it cries foul when ANYONE else arms themselves to defend themselves from Israel. What rank hipocracy! Absurd! The US has GOT to stop giving Israel any more aid of any kind. It has become an enemy of the US and the rest of the world.

For some people who believe in the divinity of the state of Israel they sure depend a lot on lobbying the followers of Christ and on sweating that no one gets weapons. It is very different getting your fictitious reputation that you are a good fighter with defenseless Palestinians and it is something different when getting it from an equally armed enemy, hence, the anxiety with Iran.

If Israel wants to stop Russia from selling these cruise missiles then all that Israel needs to do is to demand the U.S. to boycott any Russian goods unless Russia gives in. When has the U.S. ever not given in to their boss, the Israelis? Thanks to the Israelis the U.S. has lost respect all over the world. The U.S. Congress is controlled by AIPAC and everyone knows it.

Russia is determined to do everything that it can to supply and help Iran and Syria with regards to weapons. Is the U.S. just as determined to help Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, etc? What is the point of Israel having expensive military jets, ships and tanks that can easily be knocked out by missiles that cost so much less and fired by as few as a one to three crew? What upsets the most about the Russians is that during WWII they suffered large losses to the Nazis and the Jews also suffered large losses to the Nazis as well yet they are now enabling others to try to kill Jews again in large numbers. Is it antisemitism and/or economics? Before WWII, there were 6 million unemployed Germans. After WWII, there were 6 million dead Jews. The Nazis did it.

So to then complain that Russian supplied weapons to Syria ended up in the hands of the Lebanese Army and were then shot at Israeli troops is the stuff of jokes. If Israel does not want to make fair peace with all its' Arab and Muslem neigbours, then it is hypocrisy to ask third countries to refrain from delivering sophisticated weaponry to them while Israel holds upper hand . The sale of these missiles along with the S-300 is to protect this valuable Russian asset from attack When Barak goes to Moscow more than likely he will be asked to swivel. I assume the deal will be done. The weapons will end up with hezbollah and Israel's navy will be farther out to sea. Perhaps ineffectual in blue water. The Russians will sell to whoever is willing to pay the price. Syria is willing to give Russia two Mediterranian ports for its use, so they will get the missiles. Indeed, the given Israeli reason, that Hizballah may get the missiles, not only is ineffective (because Russia does not consider them terrorists), but it is also fake. Hizballah does not have the ability to identify a target far away at sea, so they wouldn't be able to use the missiles effectively. For Hizballah, the shorter range missiles already in Syria's possession are even better. Israel probably just wants Syria not to get this weapon. The Syrians probably will.

Russia doesn't necessarily gain by destabilizing the Middle East. They already refused to upgrade Iran's anti-aircraft capability. Transferring Russian technology to Hezbollah is not necessarily in Russia' s best interest.

Hezbollah may gain the use of advanced weapons from Iran and/or Russia, etc., but Israel will have no option but deploy its most devastating capability, from the get go, so that Hezbollah can do the least damage.

If Russia made a deal to provide advance weaponry to Syria, we can safely assume that they expected Israel to object and yet they decided to make the deal. When Israel objects as expected, how will this change anything? America gives Israel all manner of high tech weaponry which Israel has used to kill thousands of civilians since 2006. Israels neighbors need some sort of deterrent to check Israels expansionism. If Russia and China provide this, it will enhance the balance of power, which will promote peace. America and Israel are not in charge of the world or even the middle east. Other nations have rights.
