Israel braces for stormy weekend
Meteorologists promise an especially stormy weekend, with the chance of larger amounts of precipitation than have been seen all month, and snow spreading beyond Mount Hermon. Today the weather will be dominated by southeasterly winds that will bring hot and dry air accompanied by hazy conditions.
A sudden change in conditions is expected during the evening, when cold, moist air makes its way into the area. Rain will begin to fall overnight. Tomorrow will bring intermittent rain intensifying over the course of the day and spreading as far as the northern Negev. Snow is expected on Mount Hermon. The winter blast will strengthen on Saturday with a substantial drop in temperatures accompanied by stormy weather. Snow will continue to fall on the Hermon and may spread to the Golan Heights.
