IDF Kills Two in W. Bank; Six Qassams Hit Negev

Two Palestinian gunmen were killed yesterday in the West Bank in exchanges of fire with Israel Defense Forces patrols, while Qassam rocket attacks continued to target communities bordering the Gaza Strip.

In the Jabel Johar neighborhood of Hebron, a gun battle between two rival Palestinian families - which resulted in shots being fired in the direction of neighboring settlers' homes and army positions - drew in an IDF patrol. During the exchanges of fire, Baha al-Ajlouni, 27, was killed and his brother Bilal was injured.

In the Balata refugee camp in Nablus, IDF soldiers shot and killed Yusuf al-A'achi, 26, a member of Hamas.

In a separate incident, in the Al-Ein refugee camp in Nablus, a militant in the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades was shot and wounded. He was taken for medical treatment to Israel.

Four Qassam rockets were fired at Sderot and other communities in the western Negev yesterday. There were no injuries; some damage to property was reported. One rocket hit Kibbutz Nativ Ha'asara and damaged greenhouses there.

An IDF spokesman said that two other rockets were launched, but it is not clear where they fell.
