Hebrew e-readers coming soon to Israeli libraries
300 Ivrit devices capable of holding 2,000 books will be distributed to around 150 public libraries around the country.
Hebrew-language e-readers will soon be available in Israeli libraries nationwide.
The library association, with some help from the Culture and Sport Ministry, has just bought 300 Ivrit devices, which will be distributed to around 150 public libraries around the country.
Most are loaded with only two books, but 10 libraries in the country's outskirts will get theirs loaded with 50 books each.
Each library can decide for itself which books, and how many, should be on its e-readers.
An Ivrit device is capable of holding 2,000 books, and a long list of Israeli publishers offer books that are adapted to be read by the new device.
