Israel doesn't target civilians. With 3 Israeli deaths to Palestine's 100 plus civilian fatalities, with 35% being children, Hamas' rockets are far more successful at avoiding civilian deaths than Israel's. Didn't realize Palestinians were at the cutting edge of smart, precision missile industry.

Of course children, women, and general civilians will die, specially since Hamas contend on using Hospitals, schools,residential homes etc as their locations to shoot missiles into Israel. Israel give prior warning to civilians before they attack, Hamas only wants to kill civilians. Israel has the right to defend herself.

Dear Amira: They surely love to live exactly as you do. With houses, schools and work and nobody to steal their lands and houses. Not to live under the siege that Israel exercise over them. I am sure that if you lived in their conditions thanks to Israel, you would think different.

Those who live in Gaza houses shouldn't throw missiles.

does the military censorship forbid Haaretz to show the pictures of the dead children of Gaza? In Europe, we see them on tv and in the news papers and it is digusting. Anyone who has seen one of those horrible pictures will want the IDF and IAF to end their attacks. It's completely useless and only damages the (already weak) position of Israel. But worst of all, it kills innocent children. Anyone with a grain of humanity in their mind would agree.

A society that dresses toddlers in suicide bomber costumes, the claims bombs are worth more than lives, that uses women and children as human shield should expect casualties.

In the only free and fair elections ever to be held in the Arab world, the Palestinians elected the Hamas as their ruling party. That put a clear end to the concept of an innocent Palestinian adult. The same adults who elected this regime push their children right up to the front line and then provoke a battle. Of course the children start out innocent, until their parents teach them to glorify death and terrorism. The adults then force the kids into mortally dangerous places. No words can express how tragic it is for those kids to be born to such disgusting parents.

Doesnt change the basis of all this: the palestinians live in an open air prison with no state and no hope for a future. It is not the first time PLO has used children as human shields. American answers including severing Israeli lands for arabs, Was that why the USa came in parcels. Diplomatic groups side with PLO and Hamas in efforts that counter Israels security and soverignity. talking peace amongst the fury of the Israeli wrath really leads us to question American diplomatic efforts, PLO and overall negative sentiment Israel has faced. With a backlash to the PLO like they have not seen recently as even Jerusalem was bombed. Major Israeli moves in military will happen soon IF the PLO ,Hamas and Iran provoke and retaliate. So this is just the beginning of the end for PLO factions. Sadly the children have been part of the bloodshed while the elders make bad choices opposed to peace, harmony and unity of countryman. Hard choices for Israel as they await any retaliation that will be completely detrimental to the coy talk and devising of the Arab groups hating Israel. How does G-d Almighty stand in all this? How may Jesus Christ reach many before Armageddon seems to be sparking to life.

The IDF is doing a remarkable job trying their utmost to limit civillian causulties. Give them credit instead of bashing them!

I believe it is true representation of journalism and balanced news. I am an Iranian by the way and do not like Hamas or any other extreme group, however, I see how over reacting and disproportionate response could create vacuum and justification for those who claim to be the defenders and resistance! It is time to use the 21st century technologies (Internet, Social Media,...) to communicate and understand differences and MOVE ON! Bombs are just from a different era but leaders are both sides don't seem to see it. Perhaps they are also from a different era!

Lock people up in a concentration camp and of course they will try to fight for their freedom. All deaths are on Israel's shoulders. End the occupation. Free the Palestinians and have peace and for that matter, some respect.

How sad, and all it would take is for the Gaza terrorists to stop attacking Israel. No peace till they do and if the IDF are smart, for every 1 rocket sent into Israel from that terrorist strip 10 shells should be dropped by the IDF!
