very hard each day in Israel to bring peace between our people and its neighbours. There isn't a day which I don't think of Israel and of course wish that I could be there as well, but reality is reality. It's the minimum that I can contribute to Israel by advocating for peace and reconciliation with its adversaries, especially the Palestinians. I'm very impressed with the peace movements and the dedicated and courageous individuals, but I'm also impressed with the religious Jewish outreach which has contributed to enhancing our pride in who we are and valuing our narrative. PS: My brother's family & my mother will visit this summer for Bar Mitzvah, teenage groups' tour, visiting relatives, etc. & hopefully I'll visit in near future once again.

Actually, it wasn't Slowman but anothe censor. Yesterday was Purim, and the normal censor assumed the identity of the slooow Slowman. In turn, Slowman pretended to be a normal person for a day, but pretending did not mean he could get faster. It is a question of respect and acknowledgement for the rights of others. But for Ruth Dayan, her Jewishness was not something that inculcated into her a contempt for the outside world, or her sense of her own history as a stumbling block from understanding or relating to others. The parties to the conflict will never make peace between one another. They`ve been trying that for 60 years and NOTHING has come if it. A settlement must be IMPOSED upon the parties by the entity that created the problem, namely the United Nations, which created Israel in 1948. It is indisputable that, in the creation of Israel, Arabs were displaced. It is unjust and unfair to take people`s property for no compensation. The UN must establish a Middle East Compensation Commission to adjudicate claims from everybody, INCLUDING JEWS, who lost property as a result of the UN`s creation of Israel. Just compensation needs to be paid by the UN. If you lost your property and had to live in squalor in a camp you too would harbor resentment. The Jews haven't had it too great either living under siege from the outset. It`s nonsense that Arabs left voluntarily. Leaving is not the same as abandoning rights to property. We all leave our homes. When we get back they`re still ours.
