'Harsh' Western sanctions on Iran won't work

I am from Iran but I live in overseas. To be honest I just don't understand Iranian regimes hostility toward Israel. I personally think that Israel has been particularly patient with Iranian regime so far. If just Iran would give up the so called "we need nuclear power to be sustainable" plan and invested the money they made from sky high oil prices, Iran would be a much happier place already

I am from Iran and I know that the sanctions are working. All my friends have a hard time finding a job or providing for their families. But the thing is, people are becoming financially so miserable, that they won't have time to protest. They are working from dawn to sunset and at nights they just prefer to go to bed instead of thinking about the government who puts them in such a misery. And another thing is that military attack won't work at all. Because the regime is so good with propaganda and after the attack, they will show themselves as victims and they will find supporters among people again and that means that they will last for another 30 years. It's a dead end. My heart goes for my people.

This article is wrong for several reasons. First and most important is that it does not mention that the price of oil has dropped 30% in the last few months thanks to increased production from Saudi Arabia and will likely continue to drop. Secondly it does not mention that the iranian economy is dependent upon oil revenues (over 70% of GDP). This dependence makes the entire country susceptible to changes in prices. Lastly the article does not address statements from Iranian officials about how the total volume of exports may drop by as much as 1/3rd. Overall a poor article which ignores very important information

Every second wasted on talking sanctions, in making the long legal complex & from one point totally illegal(Abraham maslows hierarchy of needs) contracts to isolate Iran, could have been spent on rehabilitating each one on this earth; & limiting all arms manufacture. Keeping yourselves all in some kind of fantasy that a nuclear bomb or guns or armies can give you protection is an illusion. Now I am 50 years old but the same things are true & I knew them when I was 5 years old & I had no way to speak for myself. This isn't "life". It is just the game of "the third force"/illuminati , managed remotely by satellite illegally. We are tired of hearing, all the time wasted in "posing" , "discussion on discussion", pointing fingers, simple problems not sorted in the whole immediately by action.

An example might be the status of Gaza, where the siege by its neighbors didn't result in toppling the Hamas government either.
