The most generous of employers in the coming Passover holiday is likely to be Shlomo Nehama, chairman of the country's largest bank, Hapoalim. Two years after dismissing almost 10 percent of its staff in one fell swoop, Hapoalim is to distribute coupons worth NIS 1,200 to each bank employee. The second most thoughtful employer will be the state-owned Israel Electric Corporation, where staffers will receive vouchers worth NIS 1,000 each. In third place comes Tadiran Systems, who will be dishing out NIS 850 per staffer. These illustrious firms are followed by United Mizrahi Bank - which should by then have completed its merged with the Tefahot Mortgage Bank - and Makhteshim Agan (both NIS 800), the Prime Minister's Office (NIS 750) and IBM Global Service (NIS 700). Members of the teaching union, Tel Aviv municipal workers and Magen David employees will make do with a NIS 400 gift.
