Tech talent tapped to replace Meridor at TA Univ.
Meridor announced her resignation, after only a year and a half in the post. The university will be appointing a search committee to find and review candidates.
By Lior DattelYehoshua (Shuki ) Gleitman a leading candidates to replace Leora Meridor as chair of the Tel Aviv University Executive Council, at least temporarily. The appointment will be made only after the Rosh Hashanah holiday.
Meridor announced her resignation Monday, after only a year and a half in the post. The university will be appointing a search committee, headed by the new chairman of the Board of Governors, Harvey Krueger, to find and review candidates.But Gleitman, a partner in Platinum Venture Capital, and served as chief scientist in the Industry, Trade and Labor Ministry, is considered to be a leading candidate.

Meridor's tenure was marked by tension between the Executive Council and the Board of Governors, and with former university president Zvi Galil, who was removed by the Executive Council, to which Gleitman belongs.
Meridor declined to comment for this report.
