The Histadrut labor federation and the treasury are expected to resume their talks today in Jerusalem regarding civil servants' wages.
Chairman of the Histadrut, Ofer Eini is slated to meet with Eli Cohen, the wages director at the Finance Ministry and discuss the issue with him.
Cohen said that the average monthly pay for civil servants was NIS 7,653.
The wages director went on to say that there was no genuine need to add to it, as it is not much different than the general average pay.
Sources involved with the negotiations told TheMarker that Diretcor General of the Prime Minister's Office, Ra'anan Dinur, had made a settlement proposal, offering to increasethe wages of civil servants' by as much as 7 percent.
Sources at the Histadrut labor federation, however, denied the report and said that no such offer had been made.
The negotiations over civil servants' wages were abandoned in recent weeks, but were then resumed following the appointment of Roni Bar-On over the treasury.
