Petah Tikva projects to include 1,110 homes

By Guy Liberman

Contractors are continuing to take close interest in Petah Tikva: Three different real estate companies are planning two large projects, which would include a total of 1,110 new homes.

Naveh, of the Property & Building Corp., is orchestrating an urban renewal program in Kfar Ganim B. that includes 360 new apartments in four 50-story towers, replacing 90 apartments in a number of older buildings located at the intersection of Yosefsberg, Katz and Yitzhak Ben-Zvi.

Another project in the pipeline would demolish about 200 residences at the intersection of Kroll and Shalom Asch streets, near Jabotinsky and Zeev Orlev streets. Developers are seeking to build up to 750 apartments in several 23-story towers at the site.

Real estate company Terbovich-Bletner has been trying to get the later project off the ground for four years. The company is embroiled in a disagreement with the Israel Lands Authority over the firm's tax liability for the project.
