A company established in July 2008 by former chief of staff Dan Halutz, former Shin Bet security service deputy director Ofer Dekel and Yuval Rabin, the son of former prime minister Yitzhak Rabin, is operating in Nigeria to aid Israeli companies involved in defense exports and upgrades.
The company's revenues are in the hundreds of thousands of shekels so far. Among the companies involved is Nice Systems, which manufactures equipment for intelligence services among other telecommunications products.
The new company is also involved in a communications project in Lagos, the Nigerian capital, and is trying to expand into agricultural and construction projects.
Shaul Moran, one of the partners in the company, refused to comment, as did Halutz. Dekel said the company is involved in agriculture, though he refused to discuss details of the its operations.
