Green, green, go vroom

By Daniel Schmil

The electric vehicle services provider Better Place is teaming up with the local car-sharing venture Car2go to make some of the vehicles available for short-term rental electric ones. At this stage, the agreement is a nonbinding statement of principle. In 2010, Car2go is to receive some electric cars to evaluate; after trying them out and gauging customer response, the company, which is controlled by Shagrir, will make a decision. "We hope [Better Place] will see us as a pilot for a product that will help drivers get used to the idea of electric cars," Car2go CEO Yonatan Gadish said.
