Stanley Fischer, the governor of the Bank of Israel, spoke in Istanbul yesterday at two forums of the the semiannual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank, which run from today through Wednesday.
Joining Fischer at the meetings today will be Finance Minster Yuval Steinitz, who will be accompanied by his director general, Yarom Ariav, and the treasury's accountant general Yehoshua (Shuki) Oren.
Fischer, along with Canadian Finance Minister Jim Flaherty and Mexican Vice Finance Minister Alejandro Werner, discussed Fiscal Policies for the Crisis and Recovery at one forum.
