Ben-Gurion airport will launch a new "express lane" for passengers flying overseas from Terminal 3, starting on August 3.
The new line is meant to reduce the long wait for security inspections for passengers, but only if you are among a select few will you meet the criteria for using it.
First, you must have only hand baggage and no checked luggage.
You also need to have booked your flight over the Internet and printed out your own boarding passes too.
Passengers of 11 foreign airlines that have Internet ticket sites will be able to use the new, shorter line instead of waiting in long lines with everyone else for the machines that x-ray suitcases.
Initially, the Israel Airports Authority is planning to test the new arrangements for a month, during the peak summer season.
So far this year, pasenger traffic through the airport has risen 12.5%, compared with 2007; 5.1 million people flew from January through June.
