Discount workers to strike 28 branches today
By Haim BiorAfter a two-day hiatus, Bank Discount employees will resume their sanctions today and go back on a partial strike. The bank's union will shut down 28 branches in the center of the country and Tel Aviv.
Riki Bachar, the head of the union, decided to renew the strike after negotiations with management broke down.
Employees are demanding that the bank grant temporary and outsourced workers permanent employment, while management is willing to provide only a few such workers with permanent positions.
