The average value of holiday gifts companies present their workers this year is NIS 380, Manufacturers' Association of Israel representative Adi Livneh said yesterday. The total value of the gifts in the industrial sector stands at NIS 150 million. Livneh, who besides being MAI's "Made in Israel" headquarters chair is also the Kitan CEO, stressed that much like last year, 70 percent of factories and companies will present their workers with holiday gift certificates. Among the enterprises, 64 percent choose the gift certificates based on their discount rate and 25 percent according to the size of the chain. 13 percent of the employers will present their workers with gift baskets including wine, honey and in-house products.
Livneh added that in the wake of the recent war in Lebanon, some 500 businesses decided to award their employees gifts manufactured in the North.
