100 senior officials and high-ranking officers from the Mossad, the Shin Bet and the Israel Defense Forces have recently retired from their service and taken on jobs in industry.
The former senior officials and officers have chosen to work in a very wide range of industries and businesses, including textiles, high tech, chemicals, food, construction, consumer products, pharmaceuticals, security and electronics.
According to the Manufacturers Association, most of the newly retired employees have been hired to take up roles as vice-presidents or other senior executives in posts in the fields of personnel, logistics, operations and manufacturing in mostly in factories.
Most of the new civilians are expected to be mentored and trained for a month or two before actually assuming their new responsibilities at the companies.
