Before there was the Nakba, there was Tisha B'Av. Palestinians may believe they have the monopoly on mourning the loss of their homeland, but we beat them to the punch by 2,534 years. In the competition of who was there first, the Jews win once again.

Why talk when you can fix

You could do that, or you could fix the wrongs of the (relatively recent) past and present. Just because you want to live in Eretz Yisrael doesn't mean no one else can, you don't have to deprive people of their ancestral homes just because your ancestors also lived there. When two peoples want to live in the same land they either fight it out or they learn to share. How is fighting it out working out for you? You're already sharing with some (Israeli) Palestinians, surely you can share with the rest, unless you think Palestinians too should be pushed around from country to country for 1800 years to deserve coming back. You can talk about your catastrophes all you want, or you can fix them. You already tried to fix yours, now try fixing the one you created.

  It's worked out great, cuz if we had not fought, we'd have nothing. Right now we have a country that leads the world in technology development, and have accomplished this while accepting so many immigrants that the population has grown some 12-fold in 64 years. Israel is an amazing success story. But of course, the real question is in what circumstances is fighting justified. Too long to discuss here, but I submit that the Jews have a much better case than the Palestinians, and so if they want to fix things, they will have to concede the prior and profound connection of the Jews to their homeland.

Ninth of Av is about REPENTANCE

Our politicians and Dr. Klein, apparently, have forgotten that 9 Av has traditionally been about repentance.. They've shifted its focus away from responsibility and guilt to victimization.
