The time is now: Support Palestine’s UN bid

This is symbolic, in reality Israel maintains control of the land and the P.A. will still be required to negotiate directly with us if they truly want to have their own sovereign nation.

How is that Pals seek UN recognition? The same UN recognized Israel when it was created but Arabs refused to recognize it. Does this mean that they will recognize Israel or is this all a big waste of time? A two state solution is the only solution. I really mean that. But I am not convinced that this is nothing more then Hamas and Iran trying to get closer and closer to wiping out Israel. Sad.

Those who vote in favor must forever bare the blame of failed negotiations -allowing for a purported state by declaration instead of by negotiation.This is the end of any chance for peace and the beginning of a true war.

I remind you that Israel stopped work in the settlements for 10 months, but the Palestinians didn't want to meet them.

Preferably the day after recognition. The Pope should be followed by a series of daily visits from other world leaders like Desmond Tutu, Jimmy Carter, Nelson Mandela, Bill Clinton, etc to underline the point. THIS is a done deal. Time to honor the Road Map. Time for credible negotiations to produce two viable states for two peoples. No more excuses. No more delays. No more Settlement construction.

When Arab Oil runs out - about 20 years from now, we will see what the UN decides then.
