The Queen's royal snub of Israel
Is there another United Nations member-state that the British Royals have so consistently and assiduously snubbed in this way?

Why Palestine?
- By Palestinian Brit
- 31 May 2012
- 09:48AM
I am sorry for the fate of your family but what had it to do with the Brits or the Palestinians? There were in fact other places for the Jews to go Many went to America and as it turned out the US is their greatest ally and there is plenty of space left. Why condemn the Palestinians to a disaster of their own?

The UK government decides where the Queen goes. I will never forget how on a visit to Israel Prince Philip publically enquired of the British Ambassador as to why the British Embassy was in Tel Aviv when Jerusalem is the Capital. Prince Philip has a wonderful way of making a point. I really appreciated that comment.

If you look at a list of the world's countries by population, you will find that the two closest to Israel are Honduras and Togo. Queen Elizabeth hasn't visited either one of them either. Maybe you're suffering from an inflated sense of your own importance.

- By John D

Maybe its because jewish terrorist suicide bombed the british embassy and british owned businesses to get the brots out of palestine so they could declare independence. Killing allied soldiers fresh off the european front and liberators of death camps ironically died by the hands of the people they risked their lives to free. Seems like an elephant never forgets.

But it seems to be an Israeli article of faith that all Europeans failed them during WWII, and those soldiers were therefore 'legitimate targets' for terrorists, despite the sacrifices their comrades made actually fighting Nazism.

The Queen may have her faults but not inviting the leader of a country that is occupying and oppressing another people is not one of them. If Israeli leaders feel slighted by their being left off the invitation list they only have to look at what they are doing and why they are persona non grata at the festivities.

Israel is well represented at British festivities. The Queen did not mind inviting some of the worst human rights abusers from Africa to her recent golden Jubilee celebrations.

Dear Absolute Sweden, You are always quite tiresome. When reading your repliys, your opinion is always bordering to the fanatic belief of Israels purity. I look forward to that day when you for once can give a balanced reply.

The fact Absolute Sweden gave you is a fact, and its implication is quite ballanced, in contrast to your generalization.
