Save the foreign ministry by un-saving it
Israel, a country that needs effective foreign relations as much as nearly any other, should not be without a foreign minister - especially now.
It’s happened before that because of coalition and party considerations, political hacks unfamiliar with the world’s problems were appointed foreign ministers. Just recently, a figure whose statements and positions rendered him persona non grata in the international diplomatic community served in Israel's Foreign Ministry.
