On the face of it, this is a time of prosperity for Israel's leftists. The organizations that were set up after the social protest movement last year are expanding impressively. Young people are joining left-wing parties, mainly Labor, and the number of ideological gatherings on social-democratic topics over the past month was greater than the number over 12 months in previous years.
