Morally Blind, but Hope Nonetheless

This is the message of the elections: that the desire for a better life is finally out in the open, rolling about in the streets like a tiny spark of hope.

Here’s a good word about the Israeli public. Led by the nose by a leadership that threatens it, cows it and stimulates its ethno-racist nerves without letup, by a leadership that runs hither and yon in a stifling socioeconomic situation and has been galloping for too long in a closed diplomatic tunnel, the citizens of Israel got up on Tuesday morning, held their heads high and lit a tiny light in the darkness.
