Marissa Mayer is no role model for female empowerment

If you go on the website of Yahoo Finance and go to the message board of Apple Computer (AAPL) you will see tons of very sick evil Antisemetic remarks day in and day out. If you complain, Yahoo does not even take down the cruel posts. Posts that say Jews and their children should be in a woodchipper. Marrisa Mayer follows a long culture of Jew haters.

How interesting that she just returned from maternity leave and is denying women the flexibility to balance tending to their children and their jobs. It CAN be done- one can work form home and complete great tasks. Working from home is very cost effective for the company and if disciplined- one can complete a great deal of work. I think it can be more difficult to complete work at the office at times with all of the office politics. This CEO needs to take a hard look at herself and why she is denying her employees this flexibility. Seems very personal.

Women do face more of a dilemma with juggling work and having children, and therefore employers need to accommodate. In the end, we are left with our personal lives and not our jobs, which are our means for survival but our emotional lives matter just as much.

Please- she's running a company turnaround, not making the whole world safe for working mothers. That is not her job! No tech company that reates new products allows full time telecommuting work for a large sector of its employees. Rather, these people, women and men first work at least a 60- 80 hour week, often working on weekends, PLUS they work from home!
